A Patrick Wyse Community Clinic consists of 5 days instruction which include an evening get-together for videos, discussion and four intense days of riding. Each riding session combines teacher demonstration, student practice and observation of fellow students. Emphasis is on the student riding with a purpose and that purpose is to master the BASIC HANDLE
One riding session is dedicated to video analysis. Each student is individually video taped then a special session is scheduled for class review. This format increases the riders' understanding and continues to fine-tune the system.
Community clinics are sponsored by clubs or individuals. Please inquire if you should wish to become a clinic sponsor for fun and profit.
During class sessions all techniques are personally demonstrated by Patrick Wyse, giving the student an opportunity to question, practice and imitate the 10 basic progressive steps of the BASIC HANDLE . Either in your own community clinic or in our two week seminars in Montana, before during and after all classes questions and discussions are encouraged.
At Horse Wyse community clinics, students focus on stops, roll maneuvers, lead changes, and the other elements of the BASIC HANDLE. These are "Rider Training Seminars" not just a quick fix for the horse. Patrick Wyse emphasizes that the horse can only improve if the rider's timing and technique are correct, then he teaches them how and to have fun while learning.
